Fiesta
When & Where

Fiesta Gardens this Saturday 9.24.16. VIP ticket holders, 12:00 pm | General Admission, 2:00 – 6:30 pm.
2101 Jesse E. Segovia St.
Austin, Texas

Admission:

This is a SOLD OUT event.

Parking:

Just kidding, there isn’t any venue parking. Seriously. You will find parking in the neighborhood surrounding Fiesta Gardens, but expect to circle and park far away. Plan accordingly and be courteous to the people who live in the neighborhood. I recommend carpooling, ride sharing, cabbing, or riding your bicycle.

Public Transportation:

The Cap Metro trip planner has directions from your location to the venue. Popular routes include:

  • Bus route 22 Chicon Saturday: drops off at the RBJ Health Center west of Fiesta Gardens or East 2nd and Robert Martinez.
  • Bus route 17 Cesar Chavez Eastbound Saturday: drops off at East 2nd and Robert Martinez.
Food:

There will be some food options, mostly food trucks, but not enough.  No offense to the vendors that will be there, they’re great. But I have no idea why, in this food truck city, this festival is always so devoid of sustenance.  I recommend not going to the fest on an empty stomach and relying on the food trucks. Eat before you go. You don’t want to spend your afternoon waiting in line trying to get something in your belly to soak up all that beer.

Miscellaneous:

Wear comfortable shoes and use sunscreen, forecast of 90° with 80% of PM Thunderstorms. Umbrellas are forbidden at the venue. Get there early, the general admission line is always blocks long. Bring cash for extra beer tickets.  Extra drink tickets will be sold at the event. Plan ahead, if you know you will want more tickets, get them early before the line gets crazy. Pro tip: if you hang around the exit, saturated festival goers will give them away as they depart.

Keep your four-legged friends at home, they are not allowed at the festival. Bring an empty water bottle or vessel to fill at the festival. Stay hydrated.  No outside alcohol, you know better. To answer all your fest questions check out the FAQ section of Texas Craft Brewers Festival.

Cheers!
